Summer Curls: How to Keep them Hydrated and Protected

I think we are all surprised with the summer we are having globally (not just the UK!) so the need to take extra care of your curls is a must. Prolonged exposure to the sun’s ultra-violet A and B (UVA and UVB) rays can damage your curls from its cuticle to its inner structure. 

Adding a little extra moisture and protection into your regimen will truly help. 

Deep Condition

It's difficult to to find time when when there is summer fun to be had  but deep conditioning is a must when the sun is fierce. Our Quinoa Repair Deep Conditioner used at least once a week will keep any sun damage at bay. Even just three minutes on your curls regularly will help. Another way is to use this deep conditioner as a pre-shampoo treatment before you get in the shower. 

Keep them Covered!

Whenever you can, pop on your favourite cap or sun hat. Curls in caps are cute, a burnt scalp is painful.

Natural SPF for your Hair

Did you know that coconut oil has a naturally occurring SPF?  Luckily this amazing ingredient runs through most of our products.
