Help! Does My Hair Need Protein?

It is generally recommended to deep condition once a week. This can be a pre-shampoo treatment or a masque, but It is also important to figure out if your hair is in need of protein or moisture. 

Take the Hair Test

Take a strand of hair and stretch it. If it barely stretches and snaps you most likely need a moisturising treatment like our Miracle Maca Moisture Balm rather than protein. You can also test by how your hair feels. As a rule of thumb stringy or limp hair generally needs more protein. If your hair feels tough or hard, it probably has too much protein in it. Overly soft hair that is breaking and won't style has too much moisture. Being natural is all about finding the balance!
